Job Description:

Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications searches for a graphic design professional from any mass media field including advertising, public relations and/or corporate environments. We seek a leading-edge designer with significant experience collaborating on projects for rich multimedia platforms incorporating animation, 3D, motion graphics, CGI, video and traditional visual forms. The successful candidate will direct undergraduate and graduate students in collaborative projects resulting in cross-disciplinary professional products for web and traditional print venues.

Special Skills:

This tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position requires a Master's degree in a communications-related field and/or significant professional communications design experience. Prior teaching experience at the college level is preferred. A well-defined research or professional creative agenda is a requirement of this position. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership in advancing knowledge through professional organizations and will help guide the Visual & Interactive Communications Department's initiatives across multimedia platforms.
