What we’re looking for You are a bright and successful sales person, who is a proven relationship builder and strong networker. You are passionate and curious about the digital media industry. You are highly motivated and driven by closing business and making sales. You will be a team player who thrives working in entrepreneur style environments and has a strong desire to build sales contacts and networks in the NYC media scene. What’s in it for you? Performance Objectives • Achieve revenue targets of digital ad sales • Manage Top Tier national agency territory and key client relationships • Prospect, lead generate and develop new business pitches • Manage sales pipeline to achieve person revenue goals • Network and raise profile of Guardian.co.uk brand in key media markets Compensation: You will receive a base salary, with both a team based bonus and uncapped commission. Capabilities • Proven experience closing deals in the digital media industry • Ability to devise creative approaches to getting into the agencies and closing deals • Understands and enjoys the challenge working in premium content • Ambitious, motivated by desire to succeed and build career in NYC media industry • Ability to adapt your pitch and communication style subject to the audience eg media buyer vs Director Requirements • 2-4 years of experience in online media • Strong deal-making and negotiation skills • Able to construct coherent sales arguments and loves presenting in front of groups • Goal oriented, financially motivated, organized and efficient.
