We are a rapidly growing team that is looking to add a Senior Marketing Manager to our team.

The ideal candidate will be passionate, creative, resourceful, and scrappy, with experience working on a brand launch, a passion for Natural and Organic foods, and a background in executing grassroots programs.

Job description:

World of Grains is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager who is a versatile and adaptable business person – equal parts marketer, business manager, sales person and trend spotter.

The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, creative and analytical skills, and a demonstrated desire to work in a role that requires adaptability and resourcefulness. The individual should have a demonstrated ability to shape, lead, manage and deploy marketing strategy, with a thorough understanding of non-traditional marketing and brand development, and an ability to work with finance, product development and operations.

The Senior Marketing Manager has Primary Responsibility for developing, managing and implementing the marketing strategy for World of Grains. The Senior Marketing Manager will help establish the brand in the marketplace and be responsible for creating consumer awareness using grassroots marketing tactics. The individual will be responsible for conceptualizing marketing and promotions ideas and plans, as well as spearheading marketing initiatives and creating new opportunities that help to validate and measure consumer acceptance of the venture proposition.

The Senior Marketing Manager will work collaboratively across Product Development, Business Planning, Strategic Insights, Commercial and Packaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all aspects of brand are aligned to brand principles
  • Identify, analyze and develop opportunities and initiatives that meaningfully connect with the consumer, and help establish the brand in the marketplace.
  • Spearhead marketing initiatives and create new opportunities that help achieve market introduction and growth
  • Manage relationships with agency partners – packaging graphics, creative, media, promotions, PR
  • Collaborate with the brand, sales and marketing teams to develop in-market promotion plans
  • Support market expansion by identifying, managing and informing on risks and opportunities
  • Develop value and brand propositions for consumers
  • Update the team on trends in the category, marketing and media
  • Establish and ensure conditions for the successful launch of the brand working across marketing and business development functions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a Marketing, Brand, Business Development, Advertising or Grassroots Promotions role
  • Previous experience identifying and launching brand initiatives
  • Proven experience working in a cross functional role
  • BA in Business or Marketing
  • Excellent project management skills necessary to coordinate tasks of a cross-functional team
  • The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Successful completion of a drug and background screen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ Marketing, Brand, Business Development, Advertising or Grassroots Promotions role
  • MBA
  • Previous experience in start-up environments is preferred
  • Thorough understanding of marketing, business development, finance, retail, business planning, creative and analytical skills
