Job
Objective:
MVP/NY,
an industry leader in the Travel & Tourism industry is seeking a hands-on
individual to be responsible for developing, maintaining and growing innovative
marketing strategies to increase dramatically the Company’s revenue.
General
Responsibilities:
- Responsible
for the marketing of several publications tailored to the visitor and
local tourism market
- Devising,
overseeing and controlling Annual Budget. Delivery of all marketing
activity within agreed budget. Direction of marketing staff where budgets
are involved
- Developing
and implementing a marketing plan, working with all departments to execute
same
- Analyzing
and developing potential partner relationships
Specific
Needs:

Thorough knowledge and respect of magazine editorial and production
deadlines

Ability to negotiate and execute partnership contracts
- Detail
orientated and good follow-up

Keep abreast of the business marketplace including trends and trade
news and opportunities to partner

Ability to multi-task and prioritize requests

Proactive with strong leadership instincts

Prior management experience with a proven track record of managing a
staff

Excellent written, presentation, verbal and listening skills

Able to develop and maintain productive relationships on a variety of
levels both within the company and industryxc+

Rela
- 4-7 years
of marketing experience in the Publishing industry
- Strong
understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Must be
a strong hands-on manager
- Proven
ability to oversee all marketing, and promotional staff and activities
- BS/BA,
marketing degree preferred, strong computer skills (Quark, PowerPoint,
MS Word and Excel, InCopy, InDesign) required
