MARKETING MANAGER
MVP/NY

Job Objective:

MVP/NY, an industry leader in the Travel & Tourism industry is seeking a hands-on individual to be responsible for developing, maintaining and growing innovative marketing strategies to increase dramatically the Company’s revenue.

General Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the marketing of several publications tailored to the visitor and local tourism market
  2. Devising, overseeing and controlling Annual Budget. Delivery of all marketing activity within agreed budget. Direction of marketing staff where budgets are involved
  3. Developing and implementing a marketing plan, working with all departments to execute same
  4. Analyzing and developing potential partner relationships

Specific Needs:

  1. Thorough knowledge and respect of magazine editorial and production deadlines
  2. Ability to negotiate and execute partnership contracts
  3. Detail orientated and good follow-up
  4. Keep abreast of the business marketplace including trends and trade news and opportunities to partner
  5. Ability to multi-task and prioritize requests
  6. Proactive with strong leadership instincts
  7. Prior management experience with a proven track record of managing a staff
  8. Excellent written, presentation, verbal and listening skills
  9. Able to develop and maintain productive relationships on a variety of levels both within the company and industryxc+

Rela

  1. 4-7 years of marketing experience in the Publishing industry
  2. Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  3. Must be a strong hands-on manager
  4. Proven ability to oversee all marketing, and promotional staff and activities
  5. BS/BA, marketing degree preferred, strong computer skills (Quark, PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel, InCopy, InDesign) required
