Gaining Ground - Handling Your Conflicts

Gaining Ground: Handling Your Conflicts is a new addition to the Gaining Ground Workshop Series that is back by popular demand. It’s designed exclusively for AWNY's mid to senior level Resident Members. Created by UP Business Communications, Gaining Ground offers women an opportunity to discover their most powerful, personal communication style and an actionable strategy to advance in the workplace.

Gaining Ground: Handling Your Conflicts

In the business world, difficult conversations frequently occur. The key is to move through them to the best possible outcome. Men and women greatly vary in their communication strengths and styles for handling conflict. Gender dynamics often add an additional level of complication to tense moments.

This session prepares women to handle difficult conversations with women and men. Key areas of focus include: probing for the other person’s point of view, listening, the importance of empathy, knowing when to engage and finding an acceptable resolution.

This intimate program is limited to 50 AWNY Resident Members.
