The AWNY Young Executives Annual Career Development Panel present:

"Beyond the Boyfriend - Why Relationships
In the Workplace Matter More"

Being a young adult and newly embarking on your career, it can be difficult to manage all the important relationships in your life. To ensure future success, it's vital to understand how to develop, maintain and grow successful workplace relationships to help achieve the best you can be in your career path.  We cordially invite you to hear our panel to discuss "Why Work Relationships Matter" as they share their first-hand advice, experiences and insight on how/why/when to build these relationships in your 20’s.

What we'll strive to learn:

  • What are the different types of supporters you surround yourself with during your career?
  • How important are mentors, how does one find a mentor?
  • How to manage both positive and negative relationships with co-workers and managers
  • Examples of how a mentor or work-relationship has impacted your career - both in a positive and negative light
  • How do you maintain relationships as you move up the corporate ladder within an organization, or onto another one
